ok so Angelina over there is..undeniably HOT

today was LONG
i just got home...it s half past midnight
i had a presentation today
in my Contemporary American Jewish Identities class
(i know! could anyone think of ANOTHER word to add in their course's NAME!?)

it went really well
the class is 99% Jewish
then there s Me..
the teacher is really cool though
he asked me to give a presentation about Patrick Buchanan
a right wing american conservative who is labeled as an antisemite
he gave me the topic on purpose!
this is the second class i take with this prof
we know each other pretty well
and he likes me!!yey

anyway, i played th devil s advocate
and tried to prove that he Wasnt an antisemite
but simply discredited as one because he was such an outspoken anti neocon and anti zionist

to a certain extent it Worked!
the irony is that i think he is an antisemite!
anyway in an attempt to Argue my case i read an article about Mel Gibson "Passion" and how the term antisemitic is so loaded and must be carefully used...

some people got pissed
and that was the main purpose

i m happy about that
so happy i had to share it with you guys

what i find pretty funny is that as Mona here gets more and more involved in Arab or lebanese organizations i find myself taking more and more Jewish courses
the cool thing i m very close to knowing or having met every single Jewish professor on Campus!

gotta build a contact list...

either way i have to admit i have developed a certain interest ..in Jewish culture..history and identity .
there are pros and cons to that
the pros are..that..at least when i ll talk about Jews i ll know what i m saying!
i guess a more informed opinion..there s no harm in that!
Still there is a side effect
and that s the mere fact that i back away from conversing with Arabs on the matter
it s like in my head i just discredit them
on the basis of antisemitism

i look back at lebanon and i just feel like i was so...brainwashed...into thinking certain things i knew nothing about
trusting and believing in stupid ignorant and irrational authority figures
or on the contrary some other xtremely manipulative figures!
i just dont think that Arabs have the truth or are even critical enough to handle it .

anyway, i know what u think...i m probably jewed out and not critical myself..
if so i hope time will prove u wrong

so presentation went really well
and then came rugby practice

i love rugby
i do
it s a lot of fun

mona however thinks it s the most pathetic excuse for a sport
and that it s...vulgar....at least for girls..
YEAH WELLL GO TO UR ROOM
